PENTTBOM Pentagon/Twin Towers Bombing Investigation (FBI; operation code name)

Editor's Note:I am to understand that the FBI did an extensive investigation into 9/11 but has never released the report to the public. The page FBI this report is linked to, and the pages it links to is all there is. ""PENTTBOM"—was our largest investigation ever". They say. Well I say it is high time we the public get to see a report on the investigation, not just pictures of the alleged hijackers. A friend of mine who likes to call the FBI and ask them question about things like this has been rebuffed about seeing the results/reports about this "PENTTBOM"—was our largest investigation ever, FOIA comes to mind. I wonder what we need to do to get a peek at the FBI records on this investigation? Isn't it interesting that the FBI would call it a " Bombing Investigation"? Sounds like the FBI at least suspected 9/11 was a bombing.

9/11 Investigation (PENTTBOM) [Pentagon with American Flag draped
over the west wall.] They were the most lethal terrorist attacks in
history, taking the lives of 3,000 Americans and international citizens
and ultimately leading to far-reaching changes in anti-terror approaches
and operations in the U.S. and around the globe.
[FBI evidence response team.] Our ensuing investigation of the attacks
of 9/11/01—code-named "PENTTBOM"—was our largest
investigation ever. At the peak of the case, more than half our agents
worked to identify the hijackers and their sponsors and, with other
agencies, to head off any possible future attacks. We followed more than
half-a-million investigative leads, including several hundred thousand
tips from the public. The attack and crash sites also represented the
largest crime scenes in FBI history.
